The Check‑Up Self‑Report pilot project has now been successfully completed at the end of 2024. The aim of the pilot was to improve access for kaumātua and kuia to health services before a crisis occurs, by trialling the usefulness of the interRAI Check‑Up Self‑Report in the Lakes region. The project received ethics approval in December 2023 and was registered with the ANZ Clinical Trials Registry. Senior Research Fellow, Dr Joanna Hikaka (Te Kupenga Hauora Māori; Co‑Director, Centre for Co‑Created Ageing Research, University of Auckland) led the research throughout the pilot phase.
The final research findings have now been published and are available here.
