The interRAI Community Training can include:
Contact Assessment Only: The interRAI Contact Assessment training programme involves pre-course preparation, 1 full day of classroom-based training and workplace-based learning over an 8 week timeframe. Each assessor is required to have a work-place buddy to support them during completion of their first Contact Assessment. All Contact Assessments whilst in training, are reviewed on line by their Educator. Trainees are required to undergo on-line evaluation as part of achieving competency, leading to a final evaluation and competency interview. All trainees must sign a Learning Agreement prior to attending the course.
Home Care Only: The interRAI Home Care Assessment training programme involves pre-course preparation, 2 full days of classroom-based training and 1 full day of training including assessing a client in their home and a classroom debriefing, over an 8 week timeframe. Each assessor is required to have a work-place buddy to support them during completion of their first Home Care Assessment. All Home Care Assessments whilst in training are reviewed on line by their Educator. Trainees are required to undergo on-line evaluations as part of achieving competency leading to a final evaluation and competency interview. All trainees must sign a Learning Agreement prior to attending the course.
Home Care with Contact Assessment: The interRAI Home Care with Contact Assessment training programme involves pre-course preparation, 2 full days of classroom-based training and 1 full day of training including assessing a client in their home and a classroom debriefing. There is also an additional component of on-line learning for the Contact Assessment training. This training programme requires trainees to undertake workplace-based training over an 8 week timeframe. Trainees are required to undergo on-line evaluations as part of achieving competency leading to a final evaluation and competency interview. All trainees must sign a Learning Agreement prior to attending the course.
It involves pre-course preparation, classroom and on-site work, leading to a final evaluation and competency interview.

4. Managers will be sent a User Access Form and Learning Agreement which must be completed for each trainee, and is to be signed by the trainee and the service manager, and must then be scanned and emailed to the interRAI Team before a training place can be confirmed.
