Competency Assessment Programme (CAP) students completing LTCF training
If you are a student studying under the Competency Assessment Programme (CAP) you are eligible to be trained as interRAI Long Term Care Facilities (LTCF) assessor while waiting for your Annual Practicing Certificate number from New Zealand Nursing Council.
During the LTCF training and until the CAP student is allocated their APC number they will continue to work under the direction and delegation of a supervising Registered Nurse who is LTCF competent.
The supervising Registered Nurse takes responsibility for the assessment overall (even when wholly completed by the CAP student) and marks it complete in the software.
