Software upgrade

interRAI software upgrade postponed (7 June 2018)

As you will be aware, interRAI Services have been planning the implementation of our bi-annual upgrade to the current interRAI assessment software with the latest version and enhancements. 

We have worked diligently with our vendor Momentum and our two host sites over the past few weeks but sadly we have decided to postpone this upgrade which was planned for later this month.

Issues have come up which mean we are unable to fully support the smooth implementation of the upgrade. There would be a risk to your ongoing ability to use the interRAI software. So we have taken this action to ensure that the continuity of the interRAI software is maintained and you are not affected by the change.

Our next steps will be to reschedule the upgrade to an appropriate time. New dates will be made available as soon as possible.

Test environment unavailable 25-30 May 2018

As of 25 May 2018, the interRAI Test environments will be unavailable until 31 May 2018. This is necessary as part of our preparations for the upcoming interRAI software upgrade.

There will be no access to these sites during this time.

The sites will be available again on 31 May 2018.

interRAI software upgrade delayed (3 May 2018)

After careful consideration, we have decided to delay the upcoming interRAI software upgrade by three weeks. The new dates for the interRAI upgrade are going to be:

  • 8 June 2018 for the service hosted by Canterbury DHB (Northern and southern New Zealand)
  • 15 June 2018 for the service hosted by Taranaki DHB (Central).

It has been taking longer than we planned to get the software upgrade ready for deployment, with more work than expected in the preparation and testing processes.

We need to be sure you continue to receive a seamless user experience throughout the upgrade. To ensure that, we have decided to set a new date.

As the dates approach, we will follow up in more detail.

We apologise for any inconvenience this decision may cause.

 Internal user testing to begin (March 2018) 

As Easter approaches, we are loading the new interRAI software version onto the host servers and preparing Quality Assurance (QA) testing across both host sites.

The software itself was put through rigorous testing (including regression testing) and once loaded into the QA environments, internal user testing will then begin with access to the QA host sites for DHBs and their IT support teams to follow after that.

On 5 April, we will start emailing you each week with a timeline of milestones for all stakeholders to view, as well as highlighting the upcoming enhancements.

As a reminder; the upgrade is targeted to happen on the following dates:

  • Taranaki (Central) 18 May2018
  • Canterbury (Northern & Southern) 25May 2018

Software upgrade schedule change

The next interRAI software upgrade is now scheduled for May 2018. Currently we are on track testing enhancements for this release. The time change will allow us to schedule resources so we can deliver a smooth transition to the next interRAI software version. Information on enhancements and timing will follow later in February 2018.

Software upgrade scheduled for April 2018 (May 2018)

Planning for the first of two interRAI Software upgrades is well underway. 
As in previous years the upgrade will be held with each host site completing the upgrade on alternative weekends.
This upgrade will have six new enhancements relating to assessments. All enhancements will be tested over the coming months to make sure we are ready by April.
Closer to the upgrade we will provide all relevant information about changes. So keep your eyes out over the coming months, especially on the interRAI website.
