20 is the number of individual interRAI data requests our Insights & Analytics team have responded to in April 2019 alone. These requests are in addition to data you can access via the interRAI Data Visualisation, your local interRAI software or our regular data reports.

interRAI data is increasingly used by researchers, health professionals, the Ministry of Health and care providers to better understand the health and social needs of older people. 

Dr Hamish Jamieson, who yesterday published a large study using interRAI data has previously called the interRAI dataset "New Zealand's world leading database on older people".

Professor Heather McLeod will be speaking about trajectories of care -  how older people use services over the last ten years of life.

The presentation is followed by a networking function.

International attention for interRAI Services

New Zealand is becoming a destination for international officials wanting to learn about interRAI and its implementation. A 16-member delegation of senior health professionals from Singapore has just gone and interRAI Services are looking forward to welcoming a group of visitors from Qatar. 

Health officials from Singapore’s Ministry of Health, Agency for Integrated Care, Home Nursing Foundation, Woodlands Health Campus and social enterprise NTUC Health Co-operative spent five days in Auckland and Wellington learning about interRAI Services during March.

Survey of home care providers 

Are you working for a home care provider? We would like to hear from you.

interRAI Services is inviting you to participate in our quick survey of home care providers.  

We would like to better understand how home and community care providers, and people working for those providers, experience interRAI. Tell us what you know about interRAI, how you interact with interRAI Services, and what we can do better.

The survey is open until Monday 20 May 2019. It will take less than 5 minutes to complete.

Call for abstracts open for World interRAI Conference in Belgium

The second World interRAI Conference is planned for 3-5 February 2020 in Leuven, Belgium and the call for abstracts has opened. 

The conference will bring together policy, practice and research from all over the globe, to share experiences of developing, implementing and using the interRAI suite of instruments in different care sectors.

Over 600 people from all over the world participated in the first World interRAI Conference in Toronto, Canada in 2016.
